The CUCC is a unique event within the Atlantic Alliance that has now become a tradition in the challenging and subtle field of civil-military cooperation at an international level. The event has always addressed cutting-edge and innovative issues, giving rise to debates but also to exchange experiences and ideas. ‘‘Effective Leadership: Competencies and Talents for successful CIMIC/CMI interface’’
Continuing the tradition of hosting meaningful CIMIC Units Commanders’ annual reunions, SHAPE J9 has delegated the Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) to organise and host the 14th CIMIC Unit Commanders’ Conference (CUCC).
The Conference is scheduled to take place at Villa Manin in the city of Codroipo (UD), Italy, from 13th to 16th of September 2021. This year’s Conference objective is to explore the subject of ‘‘Effective Leadership: Competencies and Talents for successful CIMIC/CMI interface’’. The intent of the event is to outline areas that overlap civilian and military leadership, also highlighting the differences. The point being is to interact in a mutually beneficial way in the operational scenarios in which CIMIC operators are called upon to intervene.
